How do I place an order?

You can just add the item(s) you want to the cart, all the options and questions are on the ordering pages for you to go through. There’s also a comments box you’ll see during the ordering process, you can put a verse you’d like in there or any additional comments.

How long does it take?
Usually, these items take 2-4 weeks, if you want it sooner, please email us asap. If we are in busier periods of the year, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Valentines etc, it can take longer, even up to double the usual timeframe.
How many items are needed?
Each item needs a different amount of clothing, you will see this in the ‘clothing’ tab on each product page. If you have less that amount or you’d like to send more, please note this in the comments box when ordering. Any that are completely unused will be returned to you with the order. Please feel free to make notes with the clothes when you send them about which ones are most important to you.
What clothing is best suited to making products?
The clothes need to be clean and in a reasonable state. The only things that don’t work so well are very open weave jumpers as the filing can be seen, also, I cannot embroider on this, if a verse is required. I can work with lining the bear and a patch for the writing but as this takes up more time there will be a fee. Get in touch for more info on this.
The more worn out an item is the less likely the final keepsake is to be durable. If it is really falling apart and we think it will have a real impact on the final product we’ll get in touch to discuss whether or not we go ahead or use a different item.
We recommend that you do not send us any coats or knitted items to create a bear/animal, cushions or blankets are better suited to these pieces of clothing. Note that different fabrics will create different shaped bears. This is what makes them totally unique. Two bears are never the same.
Are the keepsake items toys?
The bears are NOT toys and not recommended to be given to a child under the age of 10 years. The bears are handmade from worn clothing and are therefore delicate and not CE accredited. They are a keepsake for you to cherish and for display purposes only.
Can I drop off and collect, where are you based?
Yes, you can drop off and collect again when complete if you wish. We are based in Laois and have a drop off point in Dublin too. Please email us for more information.
Can I get a refund?
We cannot give refunds on personalised items, due to them being made to order and bespoke to you. If the product is faulty, please contact us immediately within 14 days of receiving it, and we will repair it for you. If at any point you wish to cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible. If work has not been started on your bear we can offer you a refund minus the postage.
These items are unique to you and made to order, therefore we are unable to offer a refund once your bear is made.
Do I need to send off my whole wedding dress to you?
If you are getting a lot of things made from the dress then, yes, I will require the full dress. If you are ordering the communion or christening option, I will need the veil too and anything else that you may have, that you’d like incorporated. For the bears, patchwork blankets and dolls, the front panel will be enough with any embellishments/brooches/belts you had with the dress.
Do you send clothing back that’s not used?
We tend to send back only full items that weren’t cut up. If there is a huge amount of cut fabric left after making your items, and you have ticked the box that you want the leftover material back, we will honour this request and send back what’s left with your order.
What courier do you use?
At the moment we are using Fastway couriers, we find them to be the most reliable to date. We put the option in every order for you to have the items picked up from your location by our courier and delivered to us. You can send it by your own method if you prefer. Please note we do not have any control over the courier we use or postal system that you choose, our system has a tracking number and we do find it to be reliable. We hold no responsibility for lost, misplaced or stolen parcels. When you place your order, you can print it off and include it with your items you are sending us or put the reference (order) number on the parcel so we can trace it back to you in our system. Also, please clearly mark our shipping address and your return details on the package VERY CLEARLY. We will also need a phone number when we are sending back your items, so please make sure you put a number on your order that you can be contacted on.
